In June, I undertook the project to redesign Jack and Jill Health's Cover Health Blog. This blog served as a vital extension of the company's online presence, delivering essential health-related content to its audience. Our task was to revamp the blog, enhancing its user experience, aesthetics, and overall functionality. To accomplish this, we utilized Figma, a robust design software, and benefited from continuous mentoring to align our design perfectly with the company's goals and user needs.
The project objectives included:
Enhancing User Experience: The primary goal was to improve the overall user experience of the Cover Health Blog, making it more user-friendly, intuitive, and engaging to boost user retention and satisfaction.
Modernizing Aesthetics: I aimed to give the blog a fresh, contemporary look and feel. This encompassed updates to visual design, colour schemes, typography, and imagery to align with current design trends and the company's branding.
Improving Accessibility: Accessibility was a top priority. I ensured that the redesigned blog adhered to the highest accessibility standards, ensuring inclusivity for all users, regardless of their abilities.
Optimizing for Mobile: Recognizing the importance of mobile users, I made sure that the blog was fully responsive, providing an exceptional experience across various devices and screen sizes.
Incorporating User Feedback: Throughout the design process, I conducted thorough user research along with my mentor to gather insights into user preferences, pain points, and expectations regarding health-related content consumption. This research guided our design decisions.
Project methodology included:
User Research: Comprehensive user research was conducted to understand user preferences and expectations, incorporating their feedback into the design choices.
Figma Design: Figma was the design software of choice, allowing me to create wire frames, mockups, and prototypes with real-time collaboration, facilitating seamless teamwork.
Iterative Design: The design process was iterative, with frequent feedback loops. We welcomed feedback from mentors and stakeholders to refine our design and ensure alignment with the company's vision.
As a result of the efforts during my internship in June, I was able to successfully contribute to the transformation of the Cover Health Blog, aligning it with the company's goals and exceeding user expectations
